Burger House Preview

The Garrard County Golden Lions will make the short trip to Death Valley this week to face the red hot Lincoln County Patriots in a non-district, county border rivalry matchup.

Garrard boasts of record of 4-3, 3-1 in district play. Garrard is giving up 25pts per game and producing 30 pts per game on offense. Garrard's wins are against Bethlehem, Jackson County, Taylor County and most recently a 55-7 thrashing of Casey County. Their three losses have came undoubtedly against their three toughest opponents, Washington County, Somerset and Frankfort.

Lincoln (5-1, 3-0 district) has played the superior schedule of the two, and is coming off their best offensive performance of the season. However, this game sets up as a trap game for the Patriots. After a fairly easy victory at South Laurel and the game before a very difficult stretch of schedule to end the season (Pulaski County, Scott County, Hopkinsville).

That being said, I look for this week to be a lot like last weeks victory. Big lead early and some trash points given up late when the game is out of reach. LC should be able to keep the offensive momentum rolling against Garrard's poor defense.
