2009 Patriot Football Schedule

East Jessamine, Madison Southern and Meade County are all newcomers to this years schedule. Meade County is interesting, it's where Coach French coached before coming to Lincoln County. East Jessamine and Madison Southern is a nice trade for Scott County and Hoptown.

8/28 East Jessamine
9/04 Madison Southern
9/11 Rockcastle County
9/18 Washington County
9/25 Southwestern Pulaski
10/02 Pulaski County
10/09 Meade County
10/16 Mercer County
10/23 South Laurel
10/30 Garrard County

WPBK has a neat historical overview of this years matchups, and much more intesting Lincoln County football information. http://www.wpbkfm.com/sports.asp?id=63

Apparently this site we are on is LC basketball/football sportstalk

Did you know the batpats have a 7 game winning streak, the first since 1994..but since it wasn't basketball we aren't going to hear about it

I think the baseball team has droped its last 2 or 3 games in a row.

Brandon Weir is a nice player. I think he is injured right now. He will need to get that fast ball up about 7-9 miles per hour to play in the SEC.

We were really looking forward to seeing LC football this coming year until we heard that they are firing Craig Yeast.

HUGE loss for LC. The upcoming freshmen were so excited about playing for Coach Settles and Yeast and the others and now they are firing him because of some parents complaining he is too tough on the boys and cusses... they should check out a lot of the other coaches in the lincoln county program!!!

I think with the above mentioned schedule, that the football team could have a nice bounce back season. They stand to win 5-6 games next year if they get in the weight room, work hard, and listen to Coach Settles. Good luck Pats!

Well I think the school should listen to their head coach instead of a select few that are just upset with Coach Yeast. Also he who cast the first stone be without sin and I don't think anyone that is fussing about Craig Yeast is without sin themselves if they are then they think they are better than Jesus Christ and we all know that isn't true. I just think it's a shame that ALOT have to suffer for what 4 or 5 want, and they don't want him there and as for me and my son I do want Yeast in Lincoln Co. Football!!!

Who ran him off?

I know it's a select few but that's what I know and I do know! They claim he cursed too much, can you believe that one?

It is amazing! When was the last time that Lincoln had a freshman football team? They all quit because of the verbal abuse and degrading from the middle school coach. How come nothing was done last year when the coach grabbed a 7th grader by the throat and held him up against the wall in front of his teammates? He still coached the rest of the season and coached this year.

BUT a talented man like Craig Yeast says Horse sh*t and he is being fired.

Licoln County officials are an embarrassment!

It seams to me that if the Middle School program was so bad and the kids didn't like it then the numbers might even go up when they get to be Freshman... You know a new start, new coaches, new opportunities.

I never liked that argument and don't think it holds water as to why the numbers aren't there with the freshman classes.

How do we even know that Craig Yeast is so "talented" as a coach. What has he ever coached?

We know he is a talented player. But as you already know that has absolutely nothing to do with coaching and relating to kids.

I hope they keep Craig and I look forward to the next few years and what happens with this football program.

The freshmen probably thought they would get treated the same way in high school as they got treated in middle school football moron that's not hard to figure out!!

It's not hard to see Coach Yeast is a good coach he relates well with the guys and the guys like him, maybe you are the one who didn't like him? Does your son play football? If he does maybe he could go cheerlead LMAO!!!

What is wrong being a cheerleader?

To the person that was questioning Coach Yeast background in coaching. Let me give you a little insight on that. Coach Yeast has coached from little league all the way up to high school. The years he spent in Canada playing professionally, I was told that he spent his offseason coaching a high school football team as an assistant. Not to mention that I know he has a son that he's coached since he was barely old enough to play. That little boy can already play! Watch him on the sidelines sometime. I don't think that good players automatically equate to good coaches, but in this case, I think it does.
