Titans 35 Patriots 9

Same old thing for LC. Fast start, slow finish. The Pats jumped out to a early 6-0 lead at Mercer County on Friday night. The Pats kept the lead until midway through the 2nd quarter.

Mercer seized the lead in the second quarter, and never relinquished it. The Titans led 14-6 at the half, LC came out and intercepted a MC pass early in the 3rd an had a great opportunity to take control of the game. Brandon Graham made a great play on the ball, however, he was ran down on the 4 yard line and LC was only able to get 3 points out of the trip. Red zone scoring really hurt LC. They were unable to convert a td on two separate trips, getting only 3pts.

Neither team was able to get a lot going, LC was held to 120 total yards for the game. Mercer was able to do their damage with the big play, connecting on three long pass plays for three of their scores.

The win puts Mercer County in the drivers seat to gain a district playoff spot. Lincoln can still make the playoffs next week with a win over South Laurel. But that will be a tough task, especially in London on the Cardinals home field.

The Pats fall to 1-7 on the season, Mercer is 1-8.
