*Lincoln County Middle School football starts tonight. Good luck to those boys, hopefully they will have a big turnout and enjoy a successful season.
*Garrard County is searching for a boys basketball coach. They lost a good one last week in Lee DeForrest. DeForrest left Garrard County to be an assistant at Christian County. Seems like an odd move to me and is a pretty good indication that the cupboard is bare in Lancaster.
A couple of names I'm hearing for that job are Scott Bolin and Ronnie Bottoms. Bolin coached at Garrard a few years ago before leaving to take a job on Centre College's staff, and is now a girls coach at Garrard County. Bottoms had a lot of success at Boyle County, leading them to a Sweet Sixteen and a couple of deep regional tournament runs. Bottoms would be a good pickup for the Golden Lions.

Coach Settles is asking for all parents, boosters and who ever is interested in what going on with this years team to attend the meeting tonight at 8:00. Stuff like camp, booster club, new schedule among other things. (Meeting at Lincoln Football field house) Also full pads tonight. Please attend...
