The basketball season starts over this week. The district tournament starts tonight, at Lincoln County High School, with boys basketball action. The Danville Admirals will play Kentucky School for the Deaf in the "play-in" game for the oppurtunity to move on in the 45th district tournament. The winner of this game will play the number one seed, the Lincoln County Patriots. Here is how the boys tournment lays out.
Monday: Danville vs. KSD
Wednesday: Lincoln Co. vs. winner of play-in game
Garrard Co. vs. Boyle Co.
Friday @ 7:30: Boys district championship.
The girls tournament action will get underway Tuesday night. The LadyPats too have the top seed. They will be hosting Garrard County Tuesday night in the opening round. Here is the girls schedule.
Tuesday: Lincoln Co. vs. Garrard Co.
Danville vs. Boyle Co.
Thursday: Girls championship
If you notice, the girls and boys both have their own night to cut down the nets this year.
Everyone needs to get out to the games this week and support the teams. They are having two of the finest seasons in the history of the school. The girls enter the district tournament with a record of 21-6, and have a great shot a sweet 16 run. They have the advantage of playing the rest of the season (district and region) on their home court. Hopefully we will be seeing them play a lot more games at home this season.

I hope everyone does come out to the games this week. I know the boys will have great support, but please don't forget our girls, they are a great team, great coaches, great players. They played Casey Co right down to the wire, a couple of breaks and we win the game. They have a great chance to go all the way to state & I'm sure they next few years we will be right back in the hunt again. See everyone at the games.
I feel like the girls are going to be serious contenders for the next couple years (at least). The crowd at the Casey game (for the girls game) was electric the other night.
When does the region start for boys and girls. What day does each tournament start
Patriot Fans... Central Kentucky Sports Magazine will be on hand on Wednesday at the game. We will have a table set up for everyone to purchase our magazine that has your Lincoln County Patriots boys basketaball team featured inside. Their is a great story inside on Coach Jeff Jackson and your Cheerleaders even have a great team photo inside. The price is $3.00 each and one dollar for every issue sold will be donated to your schools athletic fund.

The girls prevailed 57-39. Sluggish game, but a win and a trip to the district championship game. Not to mention a trip to the region tournament.

The boys anilated the BADADS (a shirt that the fan section was wearing) and will take on BOYLE on friday both teams automatically make the region tournement and the best thing about this years 12th region tournement is no MCCREARY CENTRAL!!! they lost to South Western by 1. GO PATS!!!
Great news about McCreary Central, even though i wanted to see LC get them back.

LC has played the Ad's twice this year, both of those matchups were good games.
