Jackson and the boys defeat Garrard

Garrard County fought hard and hit just about every shot they took, but Lincoln relied on the Lincoln County Lightning of Young, Ralston, and Keeton to defend their home arena. The Patriots were trailing at halftime, but with renewed vigor they outscored Garrard 23-4 in the final period to win 69-53. Young played his usual game to earn player of the game. I was glad to see Ralston dial his shot in from long range, he went 4-5 from behind the 3-point arc. Congrats to the Patriots.

this was a great win. the boys played thier butts off. WTG Ryan with 30 points. but one thin that needs to be discussed is the refs, we have one ref that is finding reasons to single out Noah. in the last 3 games he has pulled Noah to the side twice and gave him a "T" for asking if Daniel was fouled when a garrard player thought he was playing football and not basket ball.. we should start sending complaints to KHSAA on him and see if he likes it when he is singled out, and made to look bad.

I could not agree more. The game was officiated awfully. So was the BC game. I am not making excuses, because I felt like the team has been flat, but the officials are horrible.
The Garrard player in question got away with offensive fouls the entire game. Pushing off with his off arm. I kind of think LC is dominating the area so much the the ref's are pulling against them a little.

I really didn't think the game was that poorly officiated. There was one ref in question in my mind. The other two did a good job.

I agree with the officiating, I couldn't figure out what Noah did to receive the technical. Speaking of officiating, what about Tony Gray in the Boyle game???? Haters. Like I always say, beat them bad enough that the officials can't decide and or influence the game!!!!

The same one in question, was also a member of the crew that did horrible last Friday.

I just found that Central Kentucky sports (ckysports.com) has Lincoln's own Ryan Young as a cover boy on their website. You should check it out when you get a chance. He is turning in to the Lincoln County version of Tom Brady. They are also considering starting a talk show on our own WPBK 102.9FM. The next issue of Central Kentucky Sports will feature a 2-page spread about Lincoln basketball. They will be at the Madison Central game tonight.

anyone think Jackson will leave after this year?? He's doing a great job but he goes where the talent is to make life easier. Afterall he applied for the Boyle Job two years ago and got turned down.

The middle school just completed and undefeated Salt River Conference Regular season and were Tournament Champs for all 3 teams. The talent is here.
I wasn't aware that Coach Jackson ever applied at Boyle. Lincoln is at the top of the Region this year. Spurlin, Edgington, Gilbert, Ellis should keep Lincoln there next year too.
I think Coach Jackson has enough current talent and up comming talent to keep him here for as long as he wants to continue here.

It's good to hear we have a solid crop coming up!!!! I'm very close to someone in the system there, obviously he didn't get it, but it was like 2 years ago.

I heard that too, when the boyle position was open and they had that tall staed kid he applied there.
