Rockcastle visits Death Valley

The Rockcastle Rockets will visit Death Valley this Friday night at 7:30. Both teams will be trying to shake a losing streak, the Rockets enter the contest 3-2 (losers of two straight) and the Pats are 0-4, searching for their first win of the season.

Rockcastle got off to a good start this season for first year coach Scott Parkey, but have struggle lately. LC has struggled for their first year coach too, unable to get a win in the young season. This a border county rivalry, and usually is a good game. Hopefully the Pats will continue to get healthy, and build off their first half performance from last week and put together a solid full game performance.

The key is health. The Pats are a competitive squad when they are full strength. The bad part is they haven't been full strength for a while.

Haven't seen Hinds much. Heard he does well in JV. Run the rock baby and keep the passes short and safe.

The freshmen your talking about is having a hard time remembering the plays, I have seen him go the wrong way numerous times, give him time........he has all kinds of talent but he looks like a freshmen more often than not.

Hinds had a good game last week at Wayne CO. He had one run on a busted up pass play and went 25 yards broke 5 tackles and when he was brought down the crowed went wild. The kids were jumping around and got a spring in their step. We started playing BIG L Ball after that run. I think we need someone to step up and be a team leader and not just be about me.
This will be asking a lot from Hinds who only had two games last year but he is going to be a good one for us in the future. Like Hazmit said "Run the rock baby and keep the passes short and safe." The freshmen needs to run hard all the time.

No! But my son plays O-Line and D-Line in JV. We also had another bright spot, our kicking game will be in good hands with a 8th grader that kicked a 35 yarder in the JV Game. Old Jason Todd was beside him self. This kid is good, he has never played football but man he can kick.
Lets stay up beat for our boys everyone has down years. We will be OK.

The biggest problem with the program right now is depth, we just need people on the team.

I understand that this is a new team with new players and a new Coach. I have been to every game, and I haven't seen anything special. Trust me, I am a LCHS Fan. How about trying to pass the ball a little more than run it? It seems we get nowhere but backwards when we try to run the ball all the time.
