Monday (Dec. 29th)

LadyPats (9-3) 33 vs. Stonewall Jackson (VA) 45

*Lincoln played a great first half, but struggled to score in the 2nd half. The game was tied at the half and was close most of the 3rd quarter. LC seemed to of lost their edge when their leader Kendra Brown picked up her 4th foul midway through the 3rd quarter. It is evident that she is the key to their success. She is a rare high school talent, and they have to keep her on the court to compete with upper echelon schools like Stonewall. Lincoln trailed 30-29 entering the 4th quarter.

*Jessica Upchurch 9pts, Patterson 7pts, Brown 7pts, Smith 5pts, Henderson 3pts, Harris 2pts

LC Boys 56 (6-4) vs. Gateway (Fl.) 63 2-OT

Tuesday (Dec. 30th)

LadyPats 40 (10-3) vs. North Broward 30

Pats 44 (6-5) vs. Cocoa Beach 48

*Please post any scores or updates... Thanks

Y'all lost to Danville. LOL, that's crap. Gonna be a long year for the Patriots. LOL LOL

Can anyone that was at the game give a summary, how do you have a 30 point swing in 1 year? Is Burgess as good as advertised? What are we lacking?

Lincoln is missing a "leader". And they can't rebound, teams pretty much shoot until they hit the shot, unless Spurlin gets the board they struggle to rebound.

Burgess is that good he should be in red and white................
Cam is Scott Newcome son.

we would have Cam if that baskball coach was not so ainti football. Cam loves football and Jackson didn't and wouldn't let him play baskball as long as he played football someone needs to put Jackson straight.

Yeah, someone needs to straighten out a coach that has led the school to two straight sweet 16's. Man he is doing a horrible job. Who cares if Danville beat LC once, I bet they don't do it again.

you what I didn't say he was doing a horrible job don't put words that aren't there I meant needs to be striaghtened out because a child should be in control of what sports he or she chooses to play not a coach most of the coaches want their players to play more than one sport. Thank you

I trust coach jackson, and seriously doubt him not allowing a kid (even if that is true) to play two sports drove him away. I think the kid had other issues that were a factor in him moving, aside from being able to play multiple sports.

Jackson needs to move on. This will be his last year at Lincoln.

I have heard that Jackson doesn't want his players playing football. But I think he's also smart enough never to fully admit that, or he would get ran out of town. We don't have the luxury of one sport athletes at Lincoln. If a kid is an athlete, he needs to be contributing anywhere he can. I don't like the fact that we have players at other schools that belong in Lincoln. If he had problems with grades or discipline, then get someone to help/mentor him. Maybe it wasn't that easy, I didn't know Cameron. But I do believe that our school needs to take a more active role in supporting players/kids that need it, rather than labeling them bad and letting them fail or move. I'm not saying let them get extra special treatment but sometimes a kid just needs encouragement. Whether that's a kick in the tail or some help with classes.

Jackson needs to move on...that's funny. You must have a kid that a.) got cut, or b.) rides the pine. He is the best coach the school has ever seen. BELIEVE THAT!

agreed!

The LadyPats game against Stonewall should be a good one. They have a lot of D1 prospects. Ironically, the winner faces Dunbar (Lexington) for the championship.

This is a good post. We need Lincoln Kids in Lincoln Co....
Cam was a good kid, he made good grades, got along with everyone as far as I know. Jackson and Cam just didn't see eye to eye. But this is a big lost to Lincoln Basketball and Football. Cam told my son that if Jackson was gone he would come back. But I think that would be a up hill battle for him(KHSAA) BUT COULD GET DONE....

I would rather not be discussing kids doing anything illegal on this site, that's all. I wouldn't want some website accusing my kid of anything illegal, whether he was doing it or not. If you want to discuss someone's jumpshot then go for it.

No one is hiding anything, however I cannot allow rumors/allegations to be posted on this site, when they can harm a student.

Best coach Lincoln has had, lets see if he gets back to the big dance???

Anonymous said...

So what if he didn't get back to the big dance, he is still HANDS DOWN the best basketball coach we have ever seen. Who has a better track record?

Anonymous said...

He has a chance to get back... The Pats have three of the best wins in the region so far this year.

Look at Jackson's track record (from the beginning of his career until now) He is a winner.

And he hates for his players to play football. Ask B Miller/
