West Wins 12th
West Jessamine defeated McCreary Central 47-42 to win the 12th region championship. It was another hard fought game by both teams, West just made more plays in the last couple of minutes to seal the deal.
McCreary celebrated a night early, running on the court and acting as if they had won the championship the night before may have came back to haunt them. They set themselves up for the classic let down game. Both of these teams will be contenders again next year. McCreary returns their entire roster and West returns many key players, including junior Jarrod Polson who averaged a robust 31ppg during the tourney.
West Jess. will play Hazard in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen. A game they could easily win.

Heartbreaker
The Lincoln County Patriots fought their hearts out, but came up short in the 12th region semi-finals against the McCreary Central Raiders 47-44.
What a great run these boys have had. Two Sweet Sixteen's, a Regional Semi-Final, and 87 wins... What a career for these boys. Probably the winningest team in school history.
